If you are not familiar with internet marketing, it is the practice of selling niche or micro-niche products online to a targeted audience using Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and List Building techniques. While micro-niches in themselves are not highly profitable for most people, they can indeed make money on a small scale which can be repeated over and over again. Many make a living doing just this.
I once had a friend who was an Internet Marketer in training. He was told by his mentor that the money is not in the application of Internet Marketing skills, but, rather, in the teaching of the skills. In other words, people would pay good money to learn Internet Marketing. Apparently, this is true, but, unfortunately, it has led to an entire macro-niche of it's own in which much of the over-priced information is not worth the hype it is built upon.
Much Of The Content Is Rehashed And Many Of The Techniques Are Outdated And Ineffective. Honestly, how many new things are there under the sun. It seems every time you turn around there is some new, soon-to-be-released system that is sold...no, PRE-SOLD...as THE game changer and it is guaranteed to give you the competitive edge. Really? It is really new? Will it really give me the competitive edge? Hardly. What fool in their right mind would ever sell those secrets, especially in package form?
Virtually Every Product Is Over-Hyped. Every product is over-hyped. Actually, this is a great way to pick out the scams. If it is a "new or proven system" that "guarantees" earnings in any given "period of time", don't waste your money. You are thought of as and being treated like beef-stock, money, income. Hype is a concept that was introduced to humanity long ago for the sheer purpose of manipulating them. Don't be a sucker. I cannot lie. I use hype myself in the ads on my site, but it is not to sell information products, it is only to encourage you to join my free e-course that teaches you all of these things for free. The only thing you have to pay for are the tools we all have to buy anyway. I just ask that you buy them through my affiliate links to help me keep the course hosted for free.
All Of The Information Is Available For Free. Yes, that's correct. ALL of the information you need to learn SEO, SEM and IM is available for free and it is quality information that works. There are forums with crowds of people who have years of experience in these fields who are willing to help you if you are interested, you just have to know where to go.
Buy Tools, Not Information. It is no secret that to make money, you have to spend money. This is true. Just do not waste your money on "systems" that "guarantee" results. You will have to spend money on tools such as domain names, hosting, an autoresponder, and if you are not technically savvy, perhaps a little graphic design and web work, but that's it. For information, find an opt-in course that spells out for you what you should do. These are free and they contain the same information that is in "systems" that the "experts" are selling for thousands of dollars.
Find A Quality Opt-In Internet Marketing Course. A quality opt-in course is essentially an email course that drip-feeds lessons to your inbox that gives you just enough information so as to walk you through the learning process in a way that will prevent information overload and that will explain what tools you need and why they are necessary. Find what I consider a quality opt-in internet marketing course below.
